Pinwan March 21, according to GSMArena, last week, Apple began to roll out the official version of iOS 15.4, along with iPadOS 15.4, watchOS 8.5, macOS Monterey 12.3, tvOS 15.4 and HomePod software 15.4 updates. Its biggest highlight feature is using Face ID to unlock the phone while wearing a mask. However, the new Face ID feature is only available on the iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 series.

In addition to some new features and bug fixes in iOS 15.4, more and more people are reporting poor battery life after the OTA. Some netizens said that the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max phone can only last half a day of battery life. The older iPhone 11 phones saw an 80% reduction in battery power in 24 hours with a screen-on time of 2 hours.

Of course, this issue is far from universal, and some temporary battery issues after an update are sometimes to be expected. Some users have speculated that Apple has started using the maximum 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate more often. That sounds plausible, but it might not be the whole explanation, since only the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max have ProMotion refresh rates, and those aren’t the only models affected. Hope these issues can be resolved as soon as possible.
